Agent Dave McElhaney has served nearly 25 years in insurance sales and management specializing in serving churches and ministries. His focus has been to help them develop risk management strategies—specifically in child protection and child-abuse prevention.

Dave has earned his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation, which demonstrates his extensive knowledge in property and casualty insurance practices and coverage.

Dave and his family live in Glendale, Arizona. Through his local church, Dave serves in youth ministry and men’s group. Dave shares, “I feel that I was called to do this—to help protect ministies so we can grow the Church (globally). For me, I’m rewarded each time I meet with someone for the first time, identify their needs, and help them set up a program that helps them flourish as a ministry.”

Karen Johnson

Account Executive

Account Executive Karen Johnson has been faithfully serving clients for more than 13 years and started her career in the real estate industry. She is honored to be in the business of insuring churches and related ministries and is rewarded by knowing she is helping to protect those working to further the Kingdom of God.

Karen has served as a lay counselor for many years and she currently spends her time mentoring single teen mothers through a program at her local church.

In Karen’s free time she enjoys participating in women’s bible study. She also enjoys running and hiking, but finds the most joy in connecting and building trusting relationships with people through her career and in her personal life.

Megan Brewer

Customer Service Agent

Customer Service Agent Megan Brewer joined American Church Group in January 2009 and has spent five years in the insurance business. She is licensed in property and casualty insurance and is working toward attaining additional certification.

Megan’s ministry experience includes serving on a leadership team for college ministry, serving as a church preschool volunteer, and missions work in Thailand.

Megan, her husband, and new baby girl Emma, live in Peoria, Arizona where they attend their local church and co-host a bible study group. Aside from work, a few of Megan’s passions are hiking, traveling, and crafting. Megan shares, “I am honored to be the first welcoming voice for our customers and am ready and willing to provide for all of their customer service needs.”
