Agent Dave McElhaney has served nearly 25 years in insurance sales and management specializing in serving churches and ministries. His focus has been to help them develop risk management strategies—specifically in child protection and child-abuse prevention.

Dave has earned his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation, which demonstrates his extensive knowledge in property and casualty insurance practices and coverage.

Dave and his family live in Glendale, Arizona. Through his local church, Dave serves in youth ministry and men’s group. Dave shares, “I feel that I was called to do this—to help protect ministies so we can grow the Church (globally). For me, I’m rewarded each time I meet with someone for the first time, identify their needs, and help them set up a program that helps them flourish as a ministry.”

Tom Demand

Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, CPCU

Agent Tom Demand knows insurance. He has spent the past 40 years of his career explaining coverages, answering questions, and helping churches and ministries to manage their risks. For the past 10 of those years, he served as senior regional sales manager for Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company.

Tom earned the esteemed title of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, a designation that demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence through ethical behavior and continuing education. He holds 10 other professional designations, including that of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), and Associate in Risk Management (ARM).

Tom and his wife live in Apache Junction, Arizona. Over the years, Tom has served his local church in a variety of ways. Some of the more notable positions include pastor, teacher, trustee, librarian, and custodian. He has also participated in short-term mission trips throughout the United States and abroad. Tom calls it “an honor” to help churches with their insurance programs. “The church is under attack in today’s world,” Tom says, “and a correct insurance program is a vital tool to help churches protect themselves from danger.”

Michelle Cecil

Certified Insurance Service Representative, CISR

Customer Service Agent Michelle Cecil has supported our customers from the Brotherhood Mutual home office in Indiana since 2006. As a Certified Insurance Service Representative, she is prepared to provide exceptional service to our customers.

She also enjoys worshipping at her local church and serving in youth ministries including youth mentioning, prison kid ministries, and international student ministries. She also has served in foreign mission work in Haiti.

Michelle enjoys building relationships with and working with ministries because she sees it as a ministry to help them.
