Reporting a Claim

Policyholders frequently thank us for giving them courteous treatment and prompt payment. When you experience a loss, let us help you through the process.

Here are some common questions many ask about Brotherhood Mutual insurance claims and answers to help you through the process:

What should I do first?

  • Contact Authorities: Contact the police in cases where the law has been violated, such as theft, burglary, vandalism, auto accidents, or suspected arson.
  • Write It Down: Write down a detailed description of what happened, including information about the extent of damage. For property losses, make a list of what was damaged or lost.
  • Contact Us: Notify your agent as soon as possible: 877.224.9471. We’ll help you through the process and work with Brotherhood Mutual to ensure prompt service.
  • Make Necessary Repairs: Make any necessary repairs to protect your property from further damage. These repairs are covered by your policy.

What if I need to report a claim?

  • Online 24/7: Many claims can be reported online. To do so, start by becoming a registered user of Brotherhood Mutual's My Account services. All you’ll need to register is your ministry’s Brotherhood Mutual policy number and billing ZIP code.

Once you're registered and signed in, report your claim through the My Account Claims section. Start by clicking on the link that best describes the type of claim you wish to report. When you've submitted your claim report, an adjuster will contact you within 1–2 business days.
  • After-Hours Claims & Emergencies: If your Brotherhood Mutual insurance claim requires immediate attention and our office is closed, you may contact a Brotherhood Mutual adjuster by calling their toll free emergency pager at 800.933.1849. You'll be prompted to enter your phone number (including the area code) followed by the # key. Your call will be returned promptly.

If you have urgent concerns about your claim, please call your agent toll free: 877.224.9471.
